A presentation of Svetlozar
Zhekov’s book
of literary critiques “THROUGH THE YARD OF TIME” and of
his bilingual anthology “ARSENII TARKOVSKI AND OTHER RUSSIAN POETS”, published by “Nov
Zlatorog”, took place at the "ART ALLEY" gallery in Sofia (video/photo
gallery). The books
were presented by the literary
historian Mladen Vlashki.
Svetlozar Zhekov is currently involved in a large international project "Hyper
Learning", where his ambitious is to present the digitalized literary
heritage of the great Bulgarian classic author Aleko Konstantinov at the European cultural stage. In
Seeon, Germany (2004) he participated in the establishment of the GDRE+
Consortium, within the framework of "Hyper
Learning".
At the second workshop within the "Hyper
Learning" project, held in Seeon, he presented the reports "Aleko Konstantinov – choice of the author, methodology
and specific tasks related to a hypertext research platform implementation"
and "Print and Burn On Demand"
At present he continues his work within the "Hyper
Learning" project, through the COST Program - COST A32 “OPEN SCHOLARLY COMMUNITIES ON THE WEB”, where he
has been nominated representative of Bulgaria and
member of the Management Committee
.
Within the COST
Action, he took part in a workshop: "Scientific Editions on the WEB" which was held
in Munich from 22 to 25 June, 2006, and brought together
experts from the countries - members to the Consortium.

Germany (15-17.12.2006), Antwerp, Belgium (20-22.09.2007), and Oxford, England (21-22.04.2008).
In 2005 is elected member of the European Union Publishers’ Forum.
Currently is working on his doctoral study “The Bulgarian Book Heritage and the New Book Economy”.
